Fruitport Community Schools

Fruitport Community Schools (FCS) welcome all prospective families with open arms, laying claim to the title of the friendliest school district in West Michigan. FCS prides itself as a district that promotes a family atmosphere and exceeds expectations to help students reach their potential.

FCS is located five miles from the Lake Michigan shoreline and close to the recreational amenities it provides. West Michigan's largest mall, many popular restaurants, and other small businesses lie within the FCS boundaries. Having these destinations within proximity should put Fruitport on your list of places to raise your family.

Supported with an exemplary curriculum and nurtured by a district-wide emphasis on student achievement, FCS is on a mission to be a district in West Michigan synonymous with academic excellence. The school district partners with various local agencies and clubs, making community involvement a priority. FCS believes outreach enhances the quality of education and the lives of all their students and families.

While FCS prides itself on outreach and being welcoming, open and inviting, safety and security remain central to operations. The substantial and sustained investment in recent years ensures FCS buildings, policies, and procedures are up-to-date with the latest in school safety and security.

In the athletic arena, the Lady Trojans have won the state volleyball title three times since 2005. Football and track teams stand as perennial favorites to win conference championships. It's not uncommon to see any Fruitport sports teams in the hunt for a conference championship or travel deep into state tournaments. The district continues to build upon recent upgrades to athletic facilities and remain among the best in the area.
